Mackintosh Consultants is a UK-based privately owned multi-disciplined financial and IT consulting firm providing professional services to the public and private sector worldwide. Our aim is to to provide exemplary standards of prompt, personal, thorough and professional service, and to be recognised as one of the leading consultancies within each of the business areas in which we work: funding/grants, information storage, website design and general management consulting.
The company was founded in 1990 by Dr Nigel Mackintosh who held Engineering and Management positions up to board level in several high-tech companies in the UK and USA. With a BSc in Computer Science and a PhD in Magnetic Recording Technology from Manchester University, Nigel has been continuously involved in the data storage and IT industry for over 30 years.
He founded one of the world's first sputtered magnetic disk companies, Cyberdisk (Anaheim, California) – which was later sold to $6bn Alcan Aluminum – and has 24 papers and presentations at international conferences to his name.
Mackintosh Consultants' clients have included local, county and national governments, as well as small and large industrial concerns, research organisations and universities throughout the UK, Europe, the Middle East, the USA, Asia and Japan.
